A look at the things around us

This island of Maui has many different faces. The upcountry is a cowboy's paradise with distant views of the ocean, and fields of grass, and hills filled with birds and animals. The flora and fauna are bright and interesting, and the old buildings from a time gone by are still standing.

A book in a store described this as a jungle fowl cock. I say rooster, and he was showing off for us. Parading up and down the beach and making sure we took notice.
I still compare all sunsets to the one that we saw last year. Maybe it was a once in a lifetime shot, but I will stand each night and watch the sun quickly slip into the ocean and await the painting that appears in the sky.

I'm with Tamar! Thank you!! We've had so much snow and cold weather, it's wonderful to see your beautiful photos. That sunset looks amazing!! I can almost feel the warmth of the setting sun.

I visited Hawaii about 10 years ago and never saw a rooster to boot!! What a capture! Did you buy the famous Hawaiian bracelet with your name painted in black on the gold bangle? I still have mine and adore it like I bought it yesterday.
