Another week in the books, and quick look at how it went. Linking up with Gina and Sarah at project rewind. This week's theme is "weakness" I have been obsessed with flowers this week, mostly peonies, so for this week, my weakness is peonies.
MONDAY
|
A small and intimate memorial for my daughter in law's gram. Such a spitfire of a woman, who had such a hard life and demonstrated perserverance and love of family over everything. |
TUESDAY
|
A dinner invitation over to my son's home. Good food, and lovely company |
WEDNESDAY
|
A solo drive into the country to try and find the peony field that I shot on Monday. Driving around and around, up and down for an hour. I never found the peony field, but I did find some other interesting places. |
THURSDAY
|
I had a nice surprise in the mail. A lovely bracelet from the Live love travel spring photo challenge. It's the perfect colors, and cute as can be. silly cat swiped it just as I was taking the shot..apologies for the blur. |
FRIDAY
When the hubs got home from work, he took me out in search of the peony field. I felt so silly, it was only 20 minutes from home, and I had been all around it, just missing it! Still wasn't in full bloom, darn it! Now the rain has returned, so not sure this field will be the vision I was dreaming of.
Saturday
|
We went with our daughter and family to a trout farm. Watching the little boys fish was so much fun, but it also reminded me how much I love to fish. I've gotta find someone who will take me fishing! |
Sunday
|
After church, we grabbed the little boys, picked up the father-in-law and went out for breakfast. Wild, is the only way to describe this breakfast. Between an almost 95 year old, and a 21 month old, I was busy! Baby boy double fisting his food. He does love to eat! |

Beautiful photos. Love that barn and the peony field, wow! Congrats on the bracelet. So pretty ;)
I'm sorry about the peony field not being what you imagined, but it is still beautiful! I love the barn shot too!
Very sorry for your family's loss also. Loretta was a beautiful lady. The guitar pic is great!
oh my! a whole peony field?!? I would think I'd died and gone to heaven!! hoping with you that the rain doesn't ruin it ...
oh, and I really like the picture of the guitar in the foreground with a hint of darling baby in the background. what a sweet moment.
LOL! Love that the cat's paw got in your bracelet shot. Looks like a fabulous week. Such pretty countryside shots. I really like the dinner invitation shot with the baby in the background--very cool.
