Spring has sprung!

We have sunshine! *hear choir singing hallelujah* stage right, a LOUD Amen!

Enter new life, sunshine, and mothers with their babies. The scenes have been perfect and there is a spring in everyone's step. Gone are the gray skies, the blue has filled the heavens, and the grass is just a wee bit greener. SPRING!!!

Monday Monday

The start of a new week. The days on the calendar feel like they are on a movie reel flipping faster and faster. Almost every day has something marked out, or several things marked out. The weatherman says we are in for some nice weather, that is exciting!

Mondays are for little girl, Tuesdays are for TnT. It's been awhile since I've shared the boys together. They are like water in a hot skillet, jumping here and there, and not easy to catch with the camera.

On this day, they took the little tykes car, and the car stroller for races down the hill. #1 is really too big for this, but he was feeling frisky and wanted to play with his little brother. He can be the sweetest, nicest brother, and then in the next instant tell him there are spiders and giggle as the little guy shrieks off running.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday

Wow, quite the week it has been. Lots in the news, which has turned out better for Boston, so much sadness, and a very busy time here in my town.

My girlfriend and I hosted a wedding shower yesterday. It was a lovely day, good friends, happy women all supporting the soon to be bride.

A tea garden

Yesterday I had a very fun shoot. Two young women who have started a cupcake company, and are exquisite bakers! It's so fun to see young women starting out and making something of themselves. They have an online bakery at this time and take orders, and let me tell you, they bake amazing things!

We had set a meeting place, but I wasn't sure until I saw this garden.  Then I learned from the workers there that this garden was the tea garden when the home was built.  I knew it was perfect for the look we were going for!

Busy seems to be my middle name. I love it, but I must get going...I'm hosting a wedding shower tomorrow and there are many details to finish! Happy weekend everyone!

Nurture photography

I really enjoy this photo challenge. Turquoise splash was this weeks cue. I had no idea what I would find, and as it turns out, it was a bit of a stretch. Finding a lovely pool of turquoise water is what I would have loved to find, but instead, we will go with my flower pots on the patio.. They are a beautiful turquoise blue. Be sure to think of that as you look, because the flowers are far from turquoise! Have a joyous weekend everyone!

Wordless Wednesday, a golden birthday

I had the pleasure of shooting a sweet girl's golden birthday on Sunday. This sweet girl, was seven, on the seventh of April, which made it her golden birthday. She is the only daughter of three children, and her mama pulled out all the stops for this celebration.

Such a touching moment when the parents came in and told the girls "We are going to pray for Anna and the year that lies ahead"

I think she had a very happy birthday, and am hoping that I can take the rest of the shots that the mother wanted. Our weather has not been cooperating and we could use the faucet to be turned off!

I have been busy. Crazy never stop for a moment busy. Not complaining, just putting it out there. I have been taking photos for many people, and decided today that I would post shots that I did just for me.

We have moved my hubs father into a memory care unit. It's heartbreaking, and it was overdue. Nobody likes the chore of moving, and then to see how sad someone is with the move makes it that much harder. Hoping he adjusts soon, and that the staff gets to where they know him.

I was so taken by this farm house that is barely standing. Where did the people go? I know someone once lived here and cared for the land. The wonderful trees nearby tell me that it once was a wonderful place.
