We don't get the brilliant colors like the east coast, but I did manage to find some color.
The magnolia seed pods were red on one side of the house, and brown on the other. Not sure why, but found them to be very interesting.
The berries are out on this plant, although it reminds me more of Christmas than fall.

Those seed pods are awesome! Stay dry! We're in for a blow as that hurricane comes barreling out way, woo!
Beautiful autumn images.

A "brilliant" post! Love the seed pod. Freezing here on CO and snowy.
Pretty reds! We didn't have red stick around too long, most everything was yellow then brown, and now everything is almost gone (already)!
What beautiful colours - love that red.
yay! how fun great pics :)
Beautiful reds, MG! I love the magnolia seed pod picture.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Precious pictures, I love, these red leaves are beautiful.
that tree frames your home so beautifully
The Magnolia seed pods are so interesting. I love the color and the editing you did is fine too. My neighbor has Magnolia trees - I'm going to check them out!
Gorgeous reds!! I am enjoying looking at all the Autumn shots while we move towards Summer!
Lovely trees and I didn't know that is what a Magnolia seed looked like. Great info, thanks. I discovered you via FotoFriday and I'd like to invite you to come to my place and see what you think. My link # is 28 I think.
ooops sorry #21. check it out.
Such beautiful color!
We don't get much Fall colors either. This is pretty, and seed pods are cool.
Thanks for sharing with Foto Friday,
Lori
Loving those first two shots.
Oh my- how pretty. Love the pop of red.
Wow, Mary Gene...you did get some gorgeous color!
gorgeous reds!! i love the magnolia seed pod! Magnolias are my favorite tree. We have a magnolia that can withstand our northeastern winters, though we have to wrap it with burlap every winter to protect it fro the wind. i can barely wait til spring to unwrap it again!
Beautiful red leaves. :)
Gorgeous reds, I love the Magnolia pods!
