Scavenger Hunt Sunday

Summer is flying by! August already. Birthdays, weddings, and lots of photography. The weather is fabulous, we are taking small trips and life is good. Last week we went to CA for the wedding below. It was wonderful. I love seeing the happiness overflow during a wedding day!

Scavenger Hunt Sunday

This week's hunt is red, white, blue, star, and sparkle  After a fun 4th of July it was easy to find the prompts. Add in a sweet day hike, and here is my hunt.

I almost put this one for sparkle, or it could be the red ladybug, but it's the white queen anne's lace.

First shoot in mid day sun.

I prefer to shoot in the later evening, or on a cloudy day. NEVER in the mid day full sun. Well, sometimes you can't choose our times always, so here is a peek at what came out of 90 degrees, high noon. Boy, was I sweating, I mean REALLY hot, but the kids didn't seem to mind.

I guess I got this monkey off my back, and now I won't fear the full sun, and shadows, etc. like I was.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday

It feels so good to be back in the hunt! I always enjoyed Scavenger Hunt sunday, but lately life has been so busy I haven't taken the time.

This weeks clues are, sweet, stripes, dots, tool, and motion.  Here is my hunt.

This little guy can be so sweet. I swear that's all that saves him when he decides to be terribly two!

An author's shoot

I had such fun shooting an aspiring young author yesterday. She is self publishing a series called the  Life's Miscellaneous Measures: A Pee Chee folder series.  We met at a popular pedestrian bridge crossing the Willamette River.

She is a life loving, adventurous woman. Wife, mother, and dog owner. Her quirky humor has always tickled my funny bone. I'm looking forward to reading her book, and hope you will check it out as well. This fall is the speculated publishing time.

 I have a photography page on facebook, https://www.facebook.com/TutusShots.  We put the photos to a vote to see which one she should use to publicize her book.  It's been interesting to see which photos people like. I'm not sure I have a favorite, but I'm sure she will come to a perfect conclusion.
